此藏品度母佛，观世音菩萨的化身。度母，梵名Tara，全称圣救度佛母，我国古代称多罗菩萨、 多罗观音 ，共有二十一尊，皆为观世音菩萨之化身。据佛教典籍记载度母都是观世音菩萨的化身，协助观世音菩萨解救众生的各种苦难。许多典籍还说，修行者和佛教信徒修持度母即能够断除生死轮回之苦，消除一切魔障，消灾增福，所以在藏传佛教中度母受到广泛的重视。
